Need time off in the Summer?

Merit Trades are your answer.  Merit trades are an excellent way to get time off for many reasons.  Most importantly, merit trades are not limited to the saved vacation/ merit off limit imposed on us by the City.

Merit trades allow more flexibility than conventional trades since payback days can be arranged outside the City's 30 day limitation.  Merit Trades cost the same as merit offs.  And Merit Trades give merits to other firefighters for the time you want off.  Merit Trades are reliable, available, flexible, economical, and benefit other members.  Just log onto http://www.iaff27.org/, click "Trade Page" under "Members" top menu item, shop for your trade, and enjoy your time off.

If you are interested in working for merits, go to the same page, click "newtopic", Type "Will work for merits" plus your name, assignment, and phone number in the top "Subject" line, add any detailed or conditional information in the white "Message body" box, move the right scroll bar down to the bottom, click "Submit", and get ready to work.  In order to ensure all work for merit offers are current, trade page posts need to be renewed every 30 days.
