After a detailed process that includes a candidate questionnaire, in person interviews, and a recommendation from the Local 27 PAC Committee, the following candidates have received Local 27’s endorsement. These candidates have demonstrated a superior understanding and support for issues important to Seattle Fire Fighters such as LEOFF 2 reform and prioritizing public safety . The process of candidate endorsement is more than just showing public support for candidates. The candidate interview process allows us to touch base with our friends and make new ones. It also allows us to ensure that candidates understand our issues and explain what is important to us. Since candidates are coming to us and asking for our endorsement, we have their undivided attention. The candidate endorsement process is another great way that we make our issues known to our elected officials.
Local 27 supports our members right to vote based on their own personal values and criteria. We will not tell anyone how to vote. We will only offer information.
